Rumfish is downtown Ventura's newest Central American Cuisine + Gastro-Bar, Rumfish y Vino. The second location outside of the original in Belize.
"Rumfish y Vino brings a tropical tang to Ventura’s palates, along with an appropriate focus on seafood in a coastal town.
Owners John and Pam Solomon bring ample experience from their matching restaurant in Placencia, Belize, with a similar menu from raw bar, to plates, to desserts with exotic touches. Rumfish is in downtown Ventura in the Palm Street setting that most recently housed Tutti’s restaurant.
Inside the sleek new restaurant there are tall tables, conventional tables and a banquette against the wall on which “Rumfish” is artistically displayed in a textured background that suggests an earlier time and place. Outside in the garden area there’s another generous array of seating, with heaters hovering nearby to warm nighttime chills. With current hours extending from 3 to 11 p.m., and a happy hour that begins at opening and runs until 6 p.m., the extra heat can be a welcome convenience..."
